Nisha Ahmed joined our Reko Diq operations in December 2023 as HR and Admin Coordinator. Nisha has been instrumental in shaping processes and systems during both the exploration drilling phase and the mining setup. Nisha was the only female working on site in 2023 when she joined and has paved the way for many more women to join this project.

'Working at a remote and fast changing mine site has been a transformative experience. At Reko Diq I’ve collaborated with colleagues from over a dozen nationalities, giving me a rich exposure to global mining industry, which is unlike any other sector in Pakistan.
For me personally, working here has been an experience of a lifetime. Furthermore, the respect and acceptance I’ve experienced in this diverse environment have empowered me to embrace and grow into my most authentic self. In addition, having social gatherings with colleagues gave me the opportunity to learn Spanish and African languages, reflecting my eagerness to learn and connect. This exposure has been truly priceless, enriching both my professional and personal journey.'

When asked what career aspirations she has for the future, Nisha said: 'I wish to see the world of mining up closely with Capital, and maybe work on other sites in other parts of the world wherever the operation takes me.'
